Pulis Patola

Yes, the incident involving Ted Failon's family has reached epic proportions. But the policemen are as lamentable.

Recently, police representatives have been defending themselves against their bad, "pulis patola" image. They requested media practitioners to give more exposure to "good" policemen, with the hopes of improving their image, and hopefully, public trust.  They requested writers of teleseryes to avoid including pulis patolas (or even funny, or bad policemen) in their shows. I personally hated this, for I believe that these policemen have NEVER (or very rarely) done their part to improve their own images, aside from the fact that artistic expression is prevented from flourishing. Most are still bundat (or big-bellied, despite the existence of a "slimming down" project a few years back). Most are still kotong cops. Makati police wait at night for motorists to terrorize (they run in front of your car to block your path, then try to accuse you of a traffic violation. It happened to us. Good thing we evaded them. Balony.). I never felt they respected the good portrayal by media.

Today, as I watch the news, I see policemen arresting Ted Failon's housemates and his wife's family members. I see a lawyer shrieking for justice, as the househelpers' rights to a lawyer before anything happens should have happened. I see police officers in their desks more eloquent than usual, explaining crime progress. I see a policeman in glasses screaming at Ted Failon's brother in law, ordering arrest, for apparently "obstructing justice' by exerting force to stop the police from arresting his siblings. No warrants.  "Obstruction of Justice" has never sounded more like an excuse to go on an arresting spree. I heard a speculation that Ted Failon was a critic of that certain police branch (or maybe the police in general).

The pulis patolas are on live TV. The teleseryes did not have to do their part.

i was so shocked about the news, definitely because of how the police men had been acting just to show people that they are doing something. they have violated the law several times. I am sorry for the family who are now in the state of shock and is very sadden of what had happened to their loved one. i wish things will be good soon. my prayers for mr. ted and ms. trina's family.

Wow! Mikee you're back! Sana bumalik ka na talaga ng tuluyan..miss ko na blog posts mo!

About the topic. Yeah, I agree! Pulis patola talaga! I've also been watching news about Failon's family and kawawa talaga sila. Masyado pang ginawang complicated ng mga pulis yung situation. what the patolas did was really inhumane! Last night I was really angry on what I was witnessing!

Sana nga masibak na yung mga pulis na yan!

I agree!

Those "Pulis Patolas" so rightly deserve the negative publicity that they're getting from the media, especially with what they've done now to Ted and his family. Obviously those in power are doing nothing to punish these patolas.

Disgusting policemen! They're the ones who should be locked up in jail.. they're the real crooks of our nation!

Anyways, it's good that you're back to blogging now! Cheers!

the reaction or the responce of the police man is very questionable in different angle and aspect because of what we see in television.
on the other hand i think there's something bad AGENDA at the back or behind that, why the policeman act or responce like that 2 the famliy of Mr.Failon.

last the one question seek in my mind,if Mr. Failon situation happen to other people or ordinary people, what will be the responce of the police man?

Those police cucumbers are verily despicable!

Hindi ko rin magets yung logic nun. Saan ba yung obstruction of justice dun? Wala rin naman atang crime na nangyari to begin with. Old people act more immature than the youth these days. @_@

i think sobrang agree tayong lahat na medyo off ang response ng police sa recent incident. delikado talaga ang public trust sa kanila

i totally agree with your post. majority of policemen here are so egoistic and into power-tripping.
they are at times, insensitive and illogical. i wish they should be more considerate of others' welfare and should always consider the consequences of their acts.

hello mikee, im doc gelo, i'm informing you that i'll link your site to my blog. OK lang? i'm also inviting you to swing by into my blog whenever possible. thanks!
